3. BigBlueButton
BigBlueButton is an alternative to Zoom for videoconferencing. In Moodle 4.0, there is a free version available for all sites.
This free layer of functionality includes:
-
Teachers can create sessions of up to 60 minutes with up to 25 participants
-
Teachers can also share their screens, use whiteboards, and surveys, divide sessions into groups and record the session for up to 7 days.
For data protection reasons, BigBlueButton is disabled by default.
Enable it from Site administration > Plugins >Manage activities.
4. How to enable timed assignments
It is now possible for teachers to set timed assignments in a similar way to timed quizzes. However, this feature must be enabled by the administrator in Site administration > Plugins > Assignment settings > Default assignment settings > Enable timed assignments.
